The NYC date of the 10,000LB Hamburger Tour is an extra-special one. It’s basically the Fool’s Gold “hometown” show, buoyed by all the extra energy of A-Trak, Treasure Fingers, and Theophilus London rocking out for their best friends and neighbors (plus the added bonus of our UK pals Jack Beats flying over to play, using the show to kick off a North American tour of their own), general TGIF craziness, 19+ at the door… IT’S KIND OF LIKE A BIG DEAL.

As previously mentioned, a bunch of the Fool’s Gold fam will be in Chicago for Lollapalooza in a matter of days. We’re happy to note that Nick Catchdubs will be joining A-Trak, LA Riots, Kid Cudi and more bros + associates on the DJ stage, as well as performing at the August 7th Imeem afterparty at Sonotheque along with Trizzy and Treasure Fingers. The calendar section coming up on our new website is gonna be crayjeeee, but until then the best place to keep up with tour dates for the whole Fool’s Gold family is our MySpace and Twitter, which we keep updated daily with the comings (ayo!) and goings of the FG fam. That said – we can’t neglect the regular ol’ blog neither!

Here’s a bunch of flyers for gigs coming up this weekend, including DJ Gant-Man and Jokers Of The Scene rocking separate parties in Chicago tonight (JOTS also hit SD on Saturday), LA Riots and Nick Catchdubs in NYC Friday along with Sammy Bananas with Switch in LA, Treasure Fingers in Vancouver and Andrew Ross of Nacho Lovers in Toronto that same night (he’s reunited with the other Nacho in Calgary Saturday), and of course the ‘Burger trio who stay hitting towns near you on the DAILY (including SF tonight with Trackademicks). FLS GLD RCRDS

We definitely believe in the power of smart partnerships and teamwork over at FG HQ, which is probably why one of our earliest outside supporters was fellow start-up RCRD LBL, who built their whole site around supporting artists and presenting great selections of free, authorized new music.

We’ve done free downloads and track debuts with RCRD LBL for almost as long as we’ve been a label ourselves, and this Tuesday (7.14) we’re linking up with them yet again for the 1st RCRD LBL “Friends & Family Meet Up” from 7-10pm at Le Poisson Rouge in NYC. Reps from the family of labels involved on the site (Fool’s Gold, Ghostly, Warp, etc) will be premiering tons of brand new and unreleased music – and generally just kicking it – so come through and start your evening with us!

Theophilus London Added To A-Trak's 10,000LB Hamburger Tour

Right as the 10,000LB Hamburger Tour was kicking off this weekend, we found out that Rye Rye had to drop off the trek. But hip-hop don’t stop, so we are psyched to announce the addition of Theophilus London to A-Trak’s state-to-state calvacade of goodtimes (Treasure Fingers is still holding it down, along with all other previously announced special guests). If you’re not familiar with Theo’s particular brand of mic science, check this Fader profile, download his debut mixtape, and give a listen to his latest jam, a remix of The Very Best’s “Warm Heart Of Africa” featuring our boy Ezra Koenig.

First up is Crest Fest on Metropolitan Ave in W’burg, where the FG office neighbors have banded together for an art show and free public concert. Check Nick Catchdubs, DJ Lindsey, Jamal Ali and more – then head over to BKLYN Yard in Park Slope for a VERY special, all-afternoon edition of Flashing Lights, featuring Treasure Fingers, Catch + Ayres, Dre Skull, Roctakon, Cubic Zirconia and more rocking from 3-9pm.
