Telephoned "We Are Young" Charity Cover

Posted on May 2nd, 2012

Telephoned’s Maggie Horn is well into a fundraising drive for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, to help fund medical research into these ailments (you can read more about it here), and to encourage people to support the cause, the band is releasing a new cover of fun’s “We Are Young” that you can download in exchange for a donation to the fundraising drive. Sez Telephoned: “We’re trying to see if we can use our craft (making music!) to drive money towards a good cause. Listen to the song snippet, donate today, and share this project with friends!”

Telephoned "Pop Champagne"

Posted on Apr 22nd, 2009

Telephoned was born one night in Brooklyn when our very own Sammy Bananas and his singin’ friend Maggie Horn decided to record their own version of T-Pain’s “Can’t Believe It.” It wasn’t a remix, it wasn’t a cover, but it was fun as hell – we premiered it, and “Can’t Believe It” quickly became a DJ favorite, even making it into mix rotation on Power 106 in LA! “Pop Champagne” is their follow-up, turning Ron Browz’ rap hit into a spacey dancefloor gem (“Bottle service electro meets Triplets Of Belleville” says Ms Horn). More reworks are on their way, but grab this one now thanks to our friends at RCRD LBL.

Can't Believe It

Posted on Oct 6th, 2008

Hello from Helsinki!  My first Euro tour has been swell so far; I can conclusively report that Scandinavians have great parties and that the hotel breakfasts are off the chain.  Extra props to Patski Love & Chris Stallion a.k.a JUICY from Oslo, Even who took me skateboarding in Trondheim and Sampo and Jussi who have been excellent hosts in Helsinki (here’s some video from that show).  Today I’m off to London and the second half of the trip, dates and flyers on the MySpace.

Here’s a little treat that my girl Maggie Horn and I cooked up a few days before I left.  It’s a cover (not a remix) of the recent T-Pain hit “Can’t Believe It.”  We did a pretty loose interpretation (don’t expect Maggie to even TRY that Wayne verse) but we’re both very excited about it.
