Dust La Rock x Star Eyes Ov Cvrse Mishka Mix

Posted on Mar 2nd, 2010

Spooky siblings Dust La Rock and Star Eyes recently delved into the deepest recesses of their respective record libraries to whip up this new Ov Cvrse mix for Mishka. It’s a collection of everything from Ministry, Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb to Black Strobe, Adult and even Benga and Skream’s coldest moments. And it is awesome!

The mix came out so well, in fact, that Mishka decided to keep the name for their SXSW showcase of icy synths and “-wave” suffixes. More info on that show (which includes a set from our own Jokers Of The Scene) here. Tracklist for the Ov Curse mix after the jump. Read More

Fool's Gold European Vacation Recap

Posted on Feb 5th, 2010

Our European Vacation Tour was a smashing success, as evidenced by the highlight reel above (soundtracked by the forthcoming Jokers Of The Scene single “Revolting Joks”). But the onstage action doesn’t end there: Red Bull Music Academy Radio recorded live sets from the last night of the tour in Paris (A-Trak, JOTS, Congorock and Arthur King), and you can listen to them here alongside great photos by Mr Mass.

There’s still a handful of tour tees at our webstore, too – get em while they last! We’ll be back soon…

Jokers Of The Scene x Ryan Stec "Bright Lights Big City"

Posted on Jan 4th, 2010

“Bright Lights Big City” is a collaboration between artist Ryan Stec and Jokers of the Scene from this past October in Toronto: a city wide synesthetic experience using North America’s largest LED lighting system, the CN Tower. Visible from anywhere in the city, citizens needed only to tune into CIUT 89.5FM to participate.

JOTS have just uploaded their mix from the installation, which you can download here. Mood music! Full tracklist after the jump. Read More
