Gladiator “Transit” EP Out 1/22

Gladiator can’t stop moving. High-powered sets around the globe have earned lifelong LA friends Daniel Goodman and Ian Johnson an international #SQUAD of loyal fans, while dance superstars (Skrillex, A-Trak, Major Lazer) and urban upstarts (Kehlani, Kid Ink, Dej Loaf) keep calling for the duo’s magic touch on remixes and collaborations. It’s been a whirlwind trip so far, but Gladiator’s new Transit EP (out 1/22) is a true milemarker: deeper songwriting, crazier sonics, and an even stronger distillation of that Gladiator spark. They channeled all the adventures of a non-stop life into five very cool, very chunky original tracks, with fellow journeymen Vindata, Mark Johns, Four Color Zack and more coming along for the ride. Fool’s Gold Day Off 2015 Recap

Five cities, thousands of fans, a whole damn supergroup of artists and DJs… DAY OFF 2015 was the biggest Fool’s Gold festival trek yet! From Travi$ Scott lighting LA on fire to Skepta shutting down NYC, from 2 Chainz and Flosstradamus turning up in MIA to A-Trak scratching everywhere, the fam went in for real! Label founders A-Trak and Nick Catchdubs have once again curated North America’s most culturally resonant festival. Who else brings together street rap royalty Meek Mill (currently riding high with the #1 album in the country), UK grime icon Skepta and underground superstars Flatbush Zombies? To celebrate their upcoming Canada tour dates (dubbed “The Sweet Boys Weekender”) kicking off this Thursday, Fool’s Gold dance champs gLAdiator and Sleepy Tom have combined forces for new jam “Cruise Control.” The breakbeat-driven banger highlights the best of both artists’ hybrid styles, blending cheeky samples and boundless feel-good energy with ease.
