Check out Flosstradamus’ contribution to LFTF’s awesome mix series, featuring their own joints next to the likes of Danny Brown and Chief Keef, Mele and more. Check it out, and be sure to grab their Jubilation EPs (bothof em!) while you’re at it.
Obviously we’re biased here, but Flosstradamus and DJ Sliink (of Jersey’s Brick Bandits crew) have been making some of the coolest, craziest dance music of the moment. So it’s only natural that after meeting during SXSW, these guys would join forces, Avengers-style, for the mutual goal of total and absolute club destruction.
Spin just premiered Floss and Sliink’s first collaboration, the megaton jam “Test Me,” and there will be more to come off their team-up EP Nomads very soon. Turn up and stay tuned, and if you’re in NYC tonight come check Flosstradamus playing Drom on Ave A (Philly gets them at the The Roots Picnic this Saturday with Danny Brown and more!)
This Thursday (5/31) the dynamic Flosstradamus duo returns to NYC and twerks out Drom on Avenue A as only they can, aided and abetted by Best New Bass-er Baauer and more. Don’t miss em! Flyer after the jump, more details on Facebook. Flosstradamus’ Jubilation 2.0 is out now on Fool’s Gold, check out “Rollup” for a taste.
Flosstradamus became club kings by breaking new sounds around the world, from their earliest DJ blends to high-energy hybrids like last winter’s Jubilation EP, featuring Danny Brown, Kid Sister and all manner of juked-out 808 madness.
After setting SXSW and WMC on fire with a crazy new live set, them Floss boys are back to reclaim the throne once more with Jubilation 2.0, featuring remixes from Lunice, JWLS and Sich Mang, and the brand new burner “Rollup” (which you can listen to below). Grab it now on iTunes and Beatport!
Flosstradamus are gearing up for the 5/8 release of their Jubilation 2.0 EP on Fool’s Gold (preview “Rollup” here) with a ton of internet goodies for you. Check out their two hour BBC Radio set from “Diplo And Friends” on Mixcloud, download their collab with North Carolina’s Deniro Fararr over at Rolling Stone, check their 5 favorite remixes at Pigeons And Planes, and watch J2K rock out at home to new creation “Lana’s Theme” on YouTube after the jump. Whether you wanna call it WMC, Ultra or Miami Music Week… you know how Fool’s Gold duz it! For the third year running we were back at Grand Central, with the whole fam making you dance. Check out “DJ Canada” rocking alongside Jacques Lu Cont, Just Blaze, Congorock, Treasure Fingers, Style Of Eye, LA Riots, Flosstradamus, Jokers Of The Scene, Nick Catchdubs, Fifteenth and surprise guests Annie Mac and Vega (not to mention the Peachfuzz crew keeping it live upstairs with Craze, DJ Soul and other guests). Musics!
A few weeks ago we ran through Austin for two mega parties during SXSW: a label showcase at the brand new Beauty Ballroom, and a team-up Super Party with Mad Decent and Check Yo Ponytail that took over BB as well as the giant Emo’s East down the street. Suffice it to say… shit got live!
From A$AP (and Sammy Bananas!) stagedives to A-Trak’s big-room scratchery, these were parties none of us will forget. Check out our recap video of both nights above, along with photos from our in-house shutterbug Josh Wehle (as well as a CYP’s full cinema-style featurette on Super Party) after the jump. Read More
