Check out Detroit tiger Danny Brown doing what he does best (rapping, smoking, being awesome) in this clip for XXX fan favorite “Blunt After Blunt,” directed by A$AP Rocky & The ICU. Pretty sure the Rap City Basement was never this weeded…
Danny Brown takes Focus Creeps on a tour of Detroit for Vitamin Water & Fader’s Uncapped series, dropping knowledge on high school, haircuts, and more. (Plus, he shows off some excellent taste in tees…)
Jubilation is the name of a long gone nightclub in the south suburbs outside Chicago that gave teenage partygoers their first taste of the ’90s ghetto house tracks that would soon morph into juke and footwork. So its more than appropriate that Flosstradamus take that title for their brand new EP, where the DJ duo of J2K (Josh Young) and Autobot (Curt Cameruci) use the hyperactive drums and booming sub bass sonics of juke as a jumping off point for new school dancefloor sounds of their very own.
Led by the Kid Sister collab “Luuk Out Gurl” (which Chicago Reader praises for “somehow bending footwork’s freakier elements to the rules of a radio-friendly pop song”) and the XXX-rated Danny Brown collab “From The Back,” Jubilation is a true showcase for Flosstradamus’ club-honed studio skills and willingness to experiment.
Check out their Jubilation-themed DJ mix below, filled with footworking favorites new and old, and be sure to grab Jubilation next Tuesday, 11/29 (same day that Kid Sis’ Kiss & Tell EP hits the internet streets. Yesss!).

“He endeavors to explore the subject in such descriptive ways that we wonder if might not be some sort of crotch scientist, someone who’s so much more than a rapper, someone who is doing all of this hard work for the betterment of mankind. He steps away from the mic, exists the live room and is gone without another word. Just a saggy handshake and something like an unspoken exchange that he’s got to get back to work. There’s more research to be done. There are more answers that he seeks.”
Peep Danny’s four-song live set for the the long-running Daytrotter series, recorded while he was in town for CMJ. For more Danny festival action, check out his interview from the Fader Fort By Fiat after the jump, and clips of “Dick Suck” and “Radio Song” from the fort on Vevo. Read More
