Posted on Oct 13th, 2010

As you may have seen on Pitchfork today, our first-ever compilation LP, Fool’s Gold Vol 1 is making its way to you fine people of planet Earth on October 25th (same day as The Suzan LP – they both got bumped to Monday cause of Taylor Swift. Good looking out ma!)

The 14 new tracks on Fool’s Gold Vol 1 are a 3-D look at where FG has been and where we’re going next. “Ray Ban Vision,” A-Trak’s robot-rocking collab with G.O.O.D. Music upstart CyHi Da Prynce, sits comfortably next to Treasure Fingers’ joyous dance pop throwback “Keep Up” and The Suzan’s rollicking cover of Miike Snow’s “Animal,” along with new tracks from other exciting, constantly-evolving talents like Kingdom, Flosstradamus, and even Lil B, who teases his forthcoming EP with the #based bass of “Freeze.”

You will be able to download Vol 1 from all fine music retailers, as well as purchase a limited-edition CD copy (and other FG treats) at Opening Ceremony boutiques worldwide. We are immensely proud to share these new tracks from our family with all of you!

Congorock "Babylon" Remixes Out Now!

Posted on Aug 25th, 2010

What can we possibly tell you about Congorock’s “Babylon” that our friends haven’t said already?

“Amazingly original and forward thinking! I LOVE IT!!!” – Steve Angello
“#1 Track at WMC – Babylon by Congorock” – JFK (MSTRKRFT)
“That Steve Angello edit of Congorock’s Babylon goes off!!” – Tiesto
“Full support! And David Guetta loves Babylon, I told ya!” – Afrojack
“Love the Congorock dub!” – Diplo
“Done damage!” – Sinden
“The hottest record out there! Congorock is on fire!!!” – Chuckie

“Babylon” is the rare song that deserves every extra exclamation point: four minutes of unadulterated dance insanity, firmly establishing Congorock as this year’s producer to watch. So, with such a giant tune in their catalog, its only right that we drop some remixes! Grab them now exclusively at Beatport.

Moscow rave maven Proxy goes straight into the red, chopping up “Babylon”‘s indelible riff as only he can. Bass! Techno legend CJ Bolland makes a rare return to the remix stage with a pumping new take, filled with four-on-the-floor thump and sugar daddy synth lines. The Steve Angello edit that became an instant DJ hit is officially available for the first time, in all it’s extended-breakdown glory. And of course the original “Babylon” is here too, in vocal version from Mr Lexx and the raw uncut Congorock dub, both of which continue to cause total pandemonium as they blast from club speakers and festival stages around the globe.

(We’ve got some more remixes stashed as well, stay tuned…)
