FG Artist Series #1: Cody Hudson & JK5

Posted on Jul 29th, 2011

Every single piece of Fool’s Gold artwork – each individual record sleeve, flyer, logo, shirt, etc – has sprung direct from the mind of our inimitable art director Dust La Rock. He’s a connoisseur! So it’s no surprise that Dust’s unique sense of taste extends beyond his own work to that of his friends and peers. Knowing that, we put together the Fool’s Gold Artist Series – a collection of limited-edition projects curated by Dust, featuring newly commissioned graphics by some of his own personal favorites.

The series launches with t-shirts and prints by Chicago’s Cody Hudson and BK’s own JK5. Come through this Thursday (8/4) as we host a special artists reception at the FG store, 536 Metropolitan, from 7-9pm. And check the guys sporting their respective tees after the jump. Read More

Trizzy Likes… my designer friends x Obama

Posted on Oct 3rd, 2008

Alright so we all know that Shepard Fairey smashed the Obama campaign with his HOPE posters. And you probably know that Shepard designed my Dirty South Dance CD cover.

Now my homie Cody Hudson, main designer of my Sunglasses Is A Must mini-line of sorts, just did this Obama poster for Upper Playground.

Diddy’s video blogs about Sarah Palin are cool, but this is cooler.
