Download Mayer Hawthorne’s new Impressions EP of cover songs to hear his smoky take on Chromeo’s “Don’t Turn The Lights On.” Says Mayer: “On the surface it’s an electro-funk, dance floor filler, but underneath is a brilliant love ballad with lyrics that reminded me of something from Tyrone Davis. Dave1 told me the song is about a guy who falls in love with a ghost, so I wanted my version to have an eerie, ghostly feel to it.”

This Friday (4/22) the Natural History Museum’s long-running One Step Beyond party series will feature a Chromeo DJ set and a live performance by Telephoned. Reunited and it feels so good!
