Kid Sister x Nina Sky x Nadastrom on Jersey Shore Soundtrack

Posted on Jul 21st, 2010

Check out the newly released Jersey Shore soundtrack album for Kid Sister’s “Lookout Weekend,” a cover of Debbie Deb’s freestyle classic produced by Nadastrom and guest-starring Nina Sky. The album also contains fist pumpers from our friends Diplo, Afrojack, Steve Aoki, and… well it’s hard to concentrate when it takes soooo much self control not to flip this with Kid Sis, the Nadastroms and the NS twins into the most epic Photoshop face swap of all time. Dream big!

Bonus beat: check Nadastrom’s new Mixpak podcast for more Fool’s Gold action, including a clever Congorock edit and a preview of Dave Nada’s forthcoming LA Riots remix.

What The Duck

Posted on Jul 9th, 2010

For more DS action, you can finally grab their perennial summer jam “aNYway” in North America:

iTunes USA / iTunes Canada / Amazon / Beatport

Their vinyl-only Greatest Hits EP is out now as well. Along with the rubber ducks! More on the way…

New Alexander Robotnick LP

Posted on Jun 8th, 2010

Electrodiscomaniacs, rejoice! Alexander Robotnick’s new Analog Sessions LP is out this week, courtesy of our pals at This Is Music. If you dug his synth jam YouTube’s we posted (like the one above), this one’s for you: a return to 70s gear (Oberheim Biphonic, Roland TB303, Korg Stage Echo) recorded live over two days and edited down into album format. Download the club mix of “Fun Fare” at Fact Magazine for a taste, and look for the LP at a shop near you (Amazon.co.uk is shipping the CD+DVD combo later in the month).

If that’s not enough Robotnick for you (and of course it isn’t!) grab his Fool’s Gold single “Obsession For The Disco Freaks” on Beatport, iTunes and vinyl, backed by great remixes from Nacho Lovers, Li’ll Bo Tweak and Freeform Five.
