Daily Exclusives on RCRD LBL's "Fool's Gold Week"

Posted on Oct 1st, 2008

We just sent you fine people over to RCRD LBL to grab the new Kid Sister single, but we’re doing it again because the FREEBIES DO NOT STOP.

They’ve decided to make this week “Fool’s Gold Week,” and to celebrate we’ve given them a different exclusive download or stream for every day. It started off with a Nacho Lovers megamix showcasing all the tracks off their forthcoming “Acid Life / Go On” single, continued with a promo download of Sammy Bananas’ “Ladies” off his Braids & Fades EP, and today we dropped a preview stream of A-Trak and Laidback Luke’s massive team-up “Shake It Down.” Tomorrow the Surkin remix of Nacho Lovers’ “Acid Life” (off our Scion comp) makes its debut, and then we close the week real big with another megamix, this time featuring tracks off Jokers Of The Scene’s long awaited Acid Bagg EP.

A-Trak in BlackBook

Posted on Aug 29th, 2008

BlackBook ran a cool little feature on me in the context of the Running Man record. Check it out here.

It’s funny to me that they used that picture. That pic was taken at a gifting suite at Winter Music Conference a year and a half ago. This rep from a headphone company was like “hey we’re gonna give you some headphones, can we get a picture of you with them?” and that was supposed to be the end of that. Why would someone think it’s a press photo? Am I supposed to be like “hey I’m a DJ so I walk around with headphones around my neck, even when I walk the dog!”

I don’t have a dog but you see what I mean.

Can U Dig It?

Maybe the reason I’m kicking myself for taking the time to listen to that Bathgate song Trizzy posted is because i don’t have pockets full of money. Or maybe because the hook sounds like it was delivered btwn bouts of sucking on helium balloons? But I digress. ANYways.. Hey young blog world, I’m back! Not sure if one previous post in the grand and dynastic Fool’s Gold blog history constitutes being here in the first place but seeing as how I have a moment to breathe (aka Alain and Nick are taking a tea break and have momentarily put down the chariots and whips) I thought i’d post up about one of my favorite bands. Namely, Pop Will Eat Itself which I will refer to as PWEI. Before I give a little history lesson, I thought you might be amused by the following anecdote.. Read More

Kesh Has A New Blog

Posted on Jul 9th, 2008

My homegirl Kesh just started a new blog to go with some new parties she’ll be throwing in New York, where she relocated from Foggy London Town. Check it out!

Anything Goes blog

You gotta respect Kesh’s hustle, she’s MySpace famous! She’s a designer from London, friends with Cassette Playa (and myself), she’s styled some of my photo shoots and Kanye recently posted about her on HIS blog. So many blogs! So many cross-referrals! Can the internet handle all these hyperlinks?
