For just over half a year, I’ve been posting up jams every Thursday without any master plan or ulterior motives, other than wanting to share some new music and (maybe) a thought or two with y’all, no filler. So in the governing spirit of the column, I decided to simply re-upload ALL the tunes that have been posted here so far (aside from the full mixtapes, videos, etc) for a year end post, rather than put together some kind of wrap-up list or “best of” ranking. It’s more fun to have you dig into 120+ tunes and pick em yourself!
Of course, if you wanna go back and check the individual archives for my pithy comments and hyperlinks as they were originally uttered (typed?) I’m all for it – it’s just that random mp3 links on the interweb have a nasty habit of going dead ass dead. In fact, this whole schpiel was inspired by a comments-section request for the DJ Speedy-produced “Club Hoppin” by BP, a track to which Usershare was particularly unkind. (And the only joint I couldn’t dig back up on my own – please send it over if you have it!) Stay tuned for many, many more RATs in the new year.
If you skipped Todd Edwards guest appearance at Flashing Lights in NYC earlier this month, you missed out on one of the most joyful DJ sets of the year, a non-stop mix of classics and unexpected surprises. Fortunately, Todd took a very similar approach with his new Fact Magazine mix, which you can download here. Alongside the rare dubs, edits and exclusives, you can preview Todd’s massive remix of Kingdom’s “Mind Reader” – out on Fool’s Gold February 2nd!
We told you there was more! Grab Greenmoney’s take on “RHH” at (where else) RCRD LBL.
Scion A/V has a free iPhone / iPod Touch app out now – download it here to listen to all their radio stations right in the palm of your hand, as well as download music from all their CD samplers and remix projects (including nuff Fool’s Gold tunes) and more. Watch the video above, where an animated Blu Jemz explains it all.
And speaking of videos, hit the jump for a teaser trailer for Scion A/V’s new music video project, featuring Congorock’s forthcoming “Babylon.” Stay tuned! Read More

Kicks Like A Mule are back! And they’re working their breakbeat magic on Kid Sister’s single, which you can grab thanks to RCRD LBL. “O.G. British rave duo” is right (see above), more from KLAM and Fool’s Gold very soon…
Nouveau Yorican, a house-y little collab between our buds Laidback Luke and Gina Turner, just released their debut single “Boriqua” on Sound Pellegrino – savvy listners will recall the track’s debut on Gina’s Foolcast mix! Grab it now on Beatport, along with remixes from Douster, Sandro Silva, and Harvard Bass. As a teaser, check the Harvard Bass version right now on RCRD LBL.
Head over to the Honor Roll blog to download 1-O.A.K.’s excellent cover of The Cure’s “Lovecats,” which was produced by Trackademicks and has become a staple of the crew’s live sets over the past few months.
