Fool’s Gold brothers in arms (legs?) Chromeo just released a new official video for their jam “Fancy Footwork,” which you can check above, directed by Ben Levine. It’s classy! But if that’s not enough moving picture action for you funkateers out there, check out this alternate zombie puppet version from Three Legged Legs, Greendot Films and Zune Arts (behind the scenes footage here).

The new issue of RE:UP is hitting newstands and mailboxes as we type, featuring guest issue designer Dust La Rock and a cover feature on Chromeo. Select copies also come with a free Fool’s Gold spring CD sampler! Seeing how it’s a such family affair, we are going to be presenting the release party with RE:UP this Friday (5/9) at Trophy Bar in Brooklyn. Tunes will be provided by Dave 1, Egg Foo Young, Queen Majesty, Barthalona From Ibitha and Brougham D’Elegance. RSVP for free entry, otherwise its a measly $5 at the door.

First things first, make sure you check out the official recaps of the Screaming Bloody Murder tour here and here. We did 8 untamed shows in 10 days, it felt like a barbarous blitz of rave riot. Sammy Bananas is the new official mascot of Fool’s Gold and his mustache couldn’t have been more timely. Steve is a dynamo, I don’t know where he gets his energy. And Sinden is my brother from a British mother. I can officially say the 2nd Fool’s Gold tour was a smash hit, and before I could even catch up with any sleep I was off to Coachella. (more…)

As Busy P’s expertly Photoshopped show flyer should have told you, this past weekend of jams at the Coachella festival was a veritable FG family reunion. Brothers! Sisters! French cousins! But we’re back now (sunburnt, caffeinated, blogging) and the fruits of our festival self-Googling are yours after the jump. More added as we find ‘em. (more…)

The Fool’s Gold fam will be at the Coachella festival this weekend getting sunburnt beyond belief radical tans and playing some music. On Sunday, you can check A-Trak and Kid Sister on the Gobi Stage and Chromeo on the Sahara Stage (full festival calendar here) and on Saturday you can check LA Riots, Flosstradamus, Nick Catchdubs and XXXChange playing the boosted mobile “Desert Poppin Pool Party” at the Mod Resort, 10 minutes away from the festival grounds (RSVP is a must).

The whole Fool’s Gold DJ fam was out in Miami for Winter Music Conference this past weekend. Along with our massive label showcase on Friday night, folks DJed at a ton of other events through the weekend - we’re still waiting for people to upload more photos and videos (send em if you got em!) but meanwhile here’s a quick rundown of the festivities. (more…)

It’s a wrap - finally made it back to B-R-O-O-K-LYN (the planet) and finished uploading everything from that music industry networking event in Austin, TX you might have heard about this past weekend. About damn time! (more…)

This weekend the Fool’s Gold fam heads down to Austin TX with the rest of our flower sniffin, kitty pettin, corporate rock friends to perform at the SOUTH BY SOUTHWEST FESTIVAL OF MUSICS. Sun! Suds! Serato! Our first ever official SXSW showcase on Saturday night at Volume is the highlight of course (SXSW badges only, limited amounts of tix on sale at the door so get there early!), but there are a number of FG-related events popping off throughout the week check them all after the jump. (more…)
