Bag Raiders in GTA IV

Posted on May 1st, 2008 by Mr Goldbar

In the latest edition of the Grand Theft Auto video game franchise (flying off shelves and decaying the morals of a nation right now!) you can listen to the Bag Raiders remix of KIM’s “By The Time They Reach You” on the François K-helmed “Electro Choc” station. Let their OZ jams soundtrack your nefarious deeds! Here’s a video clip of said track in action. Quoth the Bag Raiders, “Whoever did this, you rock a bunch like gravel…”

Posted on Apr 30th, 2008 by Mr Goldbar

We thought the only maple leaf news this week was gonna be A-Trak winning a Justo Award for Best Canadian Mixtape DJ. BUUUT NOOOOO! Jokers of the Scene just hit us with this flyer for their monthly Disorganised party. This Friday’s edition (5/2) features their FG labelmates Nacho Lovers as special DJ guests. Expect lots of exclusives, techno (of the minimal and maximal variety), and songs written by Armand. Did we mention techno? Joy! Read More

As Busy P’s expertly Photoshopped show flyer should have told you, this past weekend of jams at the Coachella festival was a veritable FG family reunion. Brothers! Sisters! French cousins! Trackin’ Trackademicks

Posted on Apr 29th, 2008 by Mr Goldbar

What’s been up with space-age slapatician and Fool’s Gold’s resident East Bay representer Trackademicks? Earlier this month, he dropped the second volume of his Remixtape series, which you can download here while reading track-by-track (hiyo!) commentary from the producer himself over on the Trackademia blog. Want more? Dude’s handiwork is all over the new Lyrics Born album, which dropped this past Tuesday. And guess what! Last week also saw Track (and the Honor Roll crew) rocking with us at the SF stop of the Fool’s Gold x Dim Mak tour, video of which is watchable over here. Yee! Check for Track’s “Enjoy What You Do” single (backed with some big remixes as well as b-side banger “Topsidin”) out on your favorite gold-plated independent record label later this summer.

Check out this behind-the-scenes video of our girl doing radio promo runs and hitting the clurrrrb, courtesy of our friends at Karmaloop.TV
