Check out Donnis’ contribution to XXL’s freestyle series showcasing the cover stars of their hotly-anticipated new “Freshman Class” issue. More on that soon - meanwhile pick up the “Gone” single now on iTunes, Beatport, TTL Digital, Amazon and everywhere else fine digital music is sold. Vinyl on deck!
As mentioned earlier, A-Trak and Chilly Gonzales teamed up at Joe’s Pub last week. Says A-Trak: “Often times it’s the casual shows, the “oh I’m just doing this on the side for fun” shows that end up being my favorite ones. Maybe it’s because I love to improvise. Or maybe it’s because these are shows I do with my friends, which is fertile ground for creativity. Last year it was my set at the Do Over. This year so far, my favorite performance was this little guest spot I did at Chilly Gonzales’s Piano Talk Show at Joe’s Pub in New York last Thursday. It was barely rehearsed, only 15 minutes in length, and we were both coming in from long flights with little to no sleep. Watch the result, I hope you enjoy it!”

The video clip is very short (ha!) but you can just read the rest of this MTV News interview with Travis Barker and A-Trak about their new “Travis x A-Trak” live project, which will be warming up in LA with Kid Sister and Rob Roy before coming to Austin with the whole Fool’s Gold crew and more.
I told you we were back!
Bookmark it, funkateers!
Our European Vacation Tour was a smashing success, as evidenced by the highlight reel above (soundtracked by the forthcoming Jokers Of The Scene single “Revolting Joks”). But the onstage action doesn’t end there: Red Bull Music Academy Radio recorded live sets from the last night of the tour in Paris (A-Trak, JOTS, Congorock and Arthur King), and you can listen to them here alongside great photos by Mr Mass.
There’s still a handful of tour tees at our webstore, too - get em while they last! We’ll be back soon…
Check out Donnis spitting a lil something for Def Jam’s new video game. And be sure to grab the “Gone” single if you haven’t already! Call your radio stations and request that sheeiiit!
Scion filmed us a while back at the office, at A-Trak and Dust La Rock’s Grateful Bear signing, and at the afterparty with Trouble & Bass later that night. Their little behind-the-scenes glimpse (taken from Scion Magazine #15) is up now, enjoy.
Check MTV News’ Jayson Rodriguez’ on-set interview with Donnis as he shot the “Gone” video last weekend in NYC, and after the jump, peep DJ Enuff’s own take on the scene.
Grab “Gone” on iTunes now! And for a bonus beat: check Donnis, Kidz In The Hall, Jay Rock and more bowling against Nina Sky and friends for Honey Mag. (more…)
