A few classics, a few lesser known or under-appreciated gems, and a few great acid tracks that aren’t 10+ years old.” Download it here, check tracklist after the jump, and read their article in the latest issue of the mag (Busy Signal and Tough Alliance on the cover). Tittsworth f. Kid Sister & Pase Rock, “WTF”

Friday, August 8th, 2008

That’s not Kid Sister or Pase Rock, it is a Popeye’s Chicken Burrito

You might know FG friend Tittsworth from his club remixes (and break records!), or his impromptu stint as Kid Sister’s hypeman on the Good Vibrations tour in Australia. Now you can add “solo artist” to the mix, since he has a debut album coming out next Tuesday called 12 Steps on Plant Music. Kid Sis returns the favor by guesting on his single “WTF” alongside Pase Rock, and you can grab the “WTF” mp3 (and read a quick Q&A with Tittsworth about the making of the album) over at the Fader blog.

New Nick Catchdubs Mixes

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

Two new free mixes from yours truly have dropped over the past few days.

First up is Slick, a bunch of uptempo tracks i’ve been playing lately (and morphs into some dubstep shit and weird rap at the end). Grab it and check the Q&A and track explanations over at Trash Menagerie.

Brand new as of this morning is Kizzaland, the debut mixtape I put together for Timbaland’s new artist Izza Kizza. Just sent an email to my boy calling it “country rap tunes…in space,” which sounds about right. Goes everywhere from abstract clubby shit to intensely personal, funny/sad storytelling - download and give it a listen!

Solo Nachos Mixes (Mixos?)

Friday, July 25th, 2008

Need weekend jams? Nacho Lovers have you covered with two separate mixes done for dolo: Fistfight’s housey set from last week’s EVR (complete with extraneous talk-overs from some goof…) and Seewhale’s mix for Buffalo clothing emporium Krudmart for the low low price of Free Ninety Nine. Links and tracklists after the jump. (more…)
