Dudes! You’ve known since this post that I was about to come out with a record for all your jogging needs. This is essentially my first record — can you feel the excitement in my blogging style today? Anyway it’s out now and you can cop it on iTunes. I’m done with the tour! I decided to wait until the end to provide the wrap-up, but hopefully people will actually read this, because its kind of long! I’ll give a brief digest to start out so you know what your getting into:

I’m gonna start off by saying that the main (if only) reason that I’m writing this blog is so that Certified Max can read it. I’m gonna lay this bro-love right out there in the open; Max and I have had some amazing times DJing around North America and I thought of him on innumerable occasions on this run. Hopefully at least he will read the whole thing!

I just landed in Barcelona for the famous Sonar festival. We were billed as “DJ Mehdi vs A-Trak feat Kid Sister”. I love it because it’s a math formula: “vs” is like “x” and “feat” is like “+”. But wait, there’s an issue with the priorities! Is it (DJ Mehdi x A-Trak) + Kid Sister, or DJ Mehdi x (A-Trak + Kid Sister) ? In other words, the DJs and the MC, or Europe meets America? I think I might ask the organizers. Strictly speaking, the way they wrote it without parentheses it should mean the first one. But Kid Sis actually canceled last week so they might not be receptive to my little question.
We’ve been remiss in not shouting out the Hard LA festival, which pops off in a matter of weeks (July 19th!) at the Shrine Expo Center in LA. If you didn’t see the giant airplane ad flying over Coachella, or watched the festival’s Truckasaurus-worthy TV commercial, know this: it’s gonna be a MAJOR RAGER featuring N.E.R.D., MSTRKRFT, Spank Rock, and FG’s own Kid Sister, A-Trak, and LA Riots, along with Steve Aoki, Kill The Noise, Bloody Beetroots and a bunch of other fine folks. Get your advance tickets now. And stay hydrated!
Kid Cudi is in Australia for a bunch of shows all over the country (full lineup on his page). Don’t sleep!
LES, to be specific! Our dude is posted up in the cradle of modern civilization for the next few weeks, making quick detours here and there to DJ music for you fine people. Catch him at the Cul N Sweet party in Austin this Saturday (6.21) at Orchid, followed by a show next Saturday at the Drake Hotel in Toronto (with Eli Escobar and Fistfight from Nacho Lovers upstairs!), some LA gigs, and more.
