Best Of The Beast: Online + On The Road

June 29th, 2009 by Mr Goldbar

So you saw the pics from Dust La Rock’s gallery show Best Of The Beast (hailed everywhere from MTV News and the Village Voice to Diddy’s Twitter) and wished you could have been in the building? Or purchase some of those mindbending museum-quality prints for your own wall? We got you!

The entire BOTB collection is now up on the DLR website, where collectors can purchase pieces from this extremely limited run of signed and numbered GiclĂ©e prints beautifully printed on archival paper and canvas. Don’t miss out on the debut collection from our favorite artist in the world (we’re biased, but it’s true!)

If that’s not enough, Dust is taking Best Of The Beast mobile, with an installation this month at Commonwealth in Norfolk, VA. The opening party is July 11th, featuring a DJ set from Nick Catchdubs, Fool’s Gold giveaways, and the release of an exclusive Dust La Rock x Commonwealth t-shirt. Check the flyer after the jump, we’ll see you there! Read the rest of this entry »

Crookers x Cudi x Mehdi

June 27th, 2009 by Mr Goldbar

Over on DJ Mehdi’s excellent blog, when he’s not shouting out Compton’s Most Wanted, Wu samples and his favorite international deejays, he’s posting up gems from his “vault” of unfinished and unreleased remixes. The newest websclusive is this remix of Crookers and Kid Cudi’s “Embrace The Martian” that was never quite finalized but still jams. Enjoy, and stay tuned for the Fool’s Gold Crookers EP this remix was first intended for, featuring new mixes of “Embrace…” by Seiji, DJ Gant-Man’s take on “Knobbers” and the finished version of “What Up Y’all” with Izza Kizza vox. Out soon! And while you’re staying tuned, Mehdi’s RED BLACK AND BLUE: Some Remixes By DJ Mehdi is out 9/9/09 on Ed Banger.
