BDROOO! COCA LEAF PLANT! I thought Baby peaked with “What Happened To That Boy” but this new album is shinier, sillier, and way better than it has any right to be. MiamiJerseyVegas music. And just like “What Happened…” it has everything to do with the guest stars – Drake (l’chaim!) and Weezy over beats by Drumma Boy and Boi-1da, who absolutely nailed this one and makes Drake’s randomly frog-voiced chorus sound incredible.

Which is not to say BSD is a worthless LP – I just wish all of it felt like this (see also: the unfairly maligned G-Unit T.O.S. album) and “Crime Wave,” instead of the shit r&b joints and non-banging “club bangers.” That said – I suppose it could have been worse.
